يوم الخميس المصادف 6/1/2011 أقيمت في كنيسة مريم العذراء في برطلة القداس الإلهي لمناسبة عيد الدنح احتفل به الأب شمعون خضر كنه يعاونه جوقة من شمامسة وشماسات الكنيسة ذوي الأصوات الرخيمة وتم اختيار اشابنة السيد المسيح كل من اندراوس سعد الياس ورافي فرج شمعون وميلاد ابلحد كبو . حيث بدا القداس داخل الكنيسة وتمت خلاله صلاة تبريك الماء وزياح الصليب وفي نهاية القداس ألقى الأب شمعون كنه موعظة تحدث فيها عن سر المعمودية في الكنيسة والذي هو أول سر من أسرار الكنيسة المقدسة السبعة لان المؤمن من خلال هذا السر يولد ميلادا روحانيا ثانيا بالماء والروح القدس ويصبح ابنا لله بالنعمة وأخا للسيد المسيح وشريكا للروح القدس .
