حفاظا على خصوصية بلدة برطلة السريانية ووفاءا لعهد الاباء والاجداد لتبقى برطلة شامخة بكنائسها ومزاراتها وشعبها السرياني الاصيل ندعوكم ايتها الاخوات وايها الاخوة الكرام للمشاركة في التبرع لشراء قطعة الارض المجاورة لكنيسة مار كوركيس والبالغة مساحتها 3950 متر مربع وفيما يلي ادناه رسالة سيادة المطران " مار يوحنا بطرس موشي الجزيل الاحترام " مع رقم الحساب المصرفي .

تحية حب وتقدير وسلام .

نطرح أمام شهامتكم موضوع شراء قطعة ارض داخل بلدة برطلة - العراق ، مجاورة لكنيستنا السريانية / كنيسة مار كوركيس . مساحتها 3950 متر مربع ، عليها دار سكنية ، عرضها أصحابها للبيع نتيجة ظروفهم الخاصة .

ولكون موقع القطعة المذكورة مميزا تقدمــت إلى شرائها عدة جهات من داخل برطلة ومن خارجها ، وقد دفعوا بها سعرا خياليا يبلغ  مليار دينار عراقي أي ما يعادل  800000  ألف دولار أمريكي ، وربما يزيد على ذلك ، في سبيل إغراء أصحابها  لبيعها . إلا أن أصحابها ، بناء على وصيــــة والدهم المتوفى ، وحفاظا علــــــــــــى خصوصية البلدة وهويتها السريانيــة ، اتفقوا على بيــــــع القطعة للكنيسة بمبلــغ مناسب قدره  500 ألف دولار أمريكي . ولمــــــــا لم يكن في حوزة كنيستنـا هذا المبلغ ، فتحنــا باب التبرعـــات وطرق باب كل الخيريـن من الأشخـــاص والمنظمات والمؤسسات الخيريــة لمساعدتنـــــا في شراء القطعــة المذكورة . علما أن هذه القطعـة المذكورة تصلح لإقامة مشروع ثقافي واجتماعـي ومنشات أخرى لأهالي برطلة ، تشجيعا لهم على البقــاء والحد من هجرة مدينتهم ووطنهم . أملنا أن تتجاوبوا مع طلبنـــا هذا بما فضل الله عليكـــــم ، وهو يعوضكم أضعاف ما تقدمونه .

We put in front of you a very crucial issue . A Christian family from Bartella has a 3950 square meter property they are offering for sale due to their special circumstances . This property ( a piece of land with a house ) is inside Bartella village – Iraq , and is adjacent to our Syriac church ( saint George (Mar Gorgees )church ) . Because this property is so unique, many people and groups from inside and outside Bartella are saving no efforts to buy it. They are paying an enormous amount for it  ( one billion Iraq Dinar which equals to $800,000.00 ( eight hundred thousand dollars ) and may be more )
in order to the temp the owners of the property and have them sell it for them . yet , the owners of the property , based on the will of their deceased father , and in order maintain the privacy and uniqueness of this village and its Syriac identity , agreed to sell this property to the church for $500,000.00 (five hundred thousand Dollar ).

Since our church cannot afford to pay this amount , we decided to ask for donations , and knock on the doors of all good – doers ( individuals , charity
Organizations and foundations , etc...) in order to help us buy this property so that strangers will not have a chance to penetrate our society and distort it .
Suffice it to say this property is ideal for cultural and social projects in additions to many other facilities for the people of Bartella hope that you will do your best to help us achieve our goal with your generous donations, and we are sure the Lord will compensate you .
